Supporting Yourself While Loving Someone Through Addiction and Mental Health Challenges

Personal reflections, thoughtful insights, honest conversations along with resources to aid in navigating addiction, mental health struggles, family relationships, self-care, and the emotional realities that often remain unspoken.

If you have found yourself here, you may be carrying the emotional weight of loving someone through addiction or mental health struggles. You may be trying to support them while also trying to understand your own reactions, boundaries, fears, exhaustion, and hope.

I understand how consuming and complicated that experience can become.

This space was created to share reflections, experiences, and evolving insights from navigating difficult moments within my own family while also learning the importance of self-care, emotional steadiness, and honest reflection.

Some lessons have emerged through painful missteps. Others through slowly recognizing the difference between supporting someone and losing yourself in the process.

Here you will find personal stories, thoughtful reflections, resources, and conversations intended to help others feel less alone while navigating similar realities.

There is no perfect way to move through these experiences. Sometimes we simply learn one difficult moment at a time. It is this time that it takes to begin to establish a strategic approach to continue to support your loved one and still move and grow in your own life’s path.
